This is the story of a Mexican family trying to survive and thrive during the Mexican revolution of 1910-20. We search for the basis of the eternal conflict in Mexican culture between love and violence. It is the story of the blood in the soil of Mexico.

Without the faith and encouragement of these people, nothing would have been accomplished. I am forever grateful.

At each step of the way, when all seemed impossible, Catrina introduced me to one more person to put their arm around my spirit and help me to regain my footing

Walking the Coquitlam River each day, listening without interruption, step by step the true story of Catrina has been revealed to me.

Many times I asked why me? Perhaps because I was just too dumb to realise what an impossible task this was to be. And yet, here we are; Catrina is coming alive.

I believe Catrina is coming to save the children of Mexico
They cannot endure anymore violence.

Catrina revealed the opera/ballet to me on the streets of Mexico City. See video below.
